To help first time jobseekers secure pre-employment documents and further increase the youth’s chances for employment, the Department of Labor and Employment, together with 23 other national government agencies issued the guidelines of the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act.
The FTJAA seeks to help first-time jobseekers secure pre-employment documents which will lessen their financial burden in obtaining said documents.
Under the IRR, the DOLE, through the Bureau of Local Employment, serves as the head of the Inter-Agency Monitoring Committee composed of identified agencies using a one country team approach in the enforcement and implementation of the Act.
