Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES)
The Program aims to help poor but deserving students pursue
their education by providing income or augment their income
through encouraging their employment during summer and/or
Christmas vacations.
Any person or entity who has employed at least 50 workers
at any given time during the past 12 months.

The objective of the program is to assist in the integration
of persons with disability in the mainstream of society

Employers may quality for a variety of tax benefits:
- Private entities that employ disabled persons shall
be entitled to an additional deduction, from their gross
income, equivalent to twenty-five percent (25%) of the
total amount paid as salaries and wages to disabled persons.
- Improvement and modification of their physical facilities
in order to provide reasonable accommodation for disabled
persons shall also be entitled to an additional deduction
from their net taxable income, equivalent to fifty percent
