The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with partners from private sector companies with the theme ‘Working Together to Build a Better Labor Market Information System’ last 17 September 2014 at the OSEC Conference Room, DOLE Building, Intramuros, Manila.
Through the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE), DOLE together with the SFI Group of Companies, Career Hub Network Corporation, JobStreet Philippines Inc., Quantum X, Inc., and The Now Group Inc. have forged common agreements related to expansion of access to career guidance and improvement of Phil-Job.Net for a more responsive LMI system.
As part of their corporate social responsibilities and human resource development agenda, private sector companies expressed their interest to partner with DOLE in promoting employment opportunities for jobseekers and facilitating employers’ search for qualified manpower.
“The terms of partnership agreements focus on improving the Enhanced Phil-JobNet (E-PJN) system and expanding access to career guidance as well as labor market information”, DOLE Assistant Secretary Katherine B. Brimon said as he gave his welcome remarks.
Each representative of private partners gave their message before the ceremonial signing of memoranda of understanding.
“As partner organizations of the DOLE in providing the best career and employment opportunities for jobseekers and facilitating the search for qualified manpower of employers through the E-PJN, said companies are to have strategically located spots and hyperlinks in the E-PJN’s Partners’ Page” DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz said. “The companies will provide DOLE and E-PJN spot and location in their respective websites,” she added.
The DOLE and the companies shall enjoy non-exclusive and non-transferrable privileges of using each other’s logo in providing advocacy and IEC materials that are developed for each other’s clients, as well as sharing relevant LMI and career resources.
