Returning OFWs and workers who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated lockdowns are being invited by the Department of Labor and Employment to apply for several job vacancies from the government’s Build Build Build (BBB) infrastructure projects, particularly the Two China Aid Bridges Project.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has enlisted the help of the labor department in recruiting Filipino workers for its Binondo-Intramuros and Estrella-Pantaleon bridge projects, being built in collaboration with project contractor China Road and Bridge Corporation. The DPWH hopes to engage workers who have been displaced by the pandemic, and extend them the opportunity to participate in nation-building through the construction of iconic structures under BBB.

For the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge Project, some one hundred twenty-five (125) workers are needed; and for the Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge Project, fifty-six (56). Among the positions requiring fulfillment are Welder, Steelman, Rigger, Pre-Stressed Tensioning Workers, Carpenter, Formworks Carpenter, Drilling Rig Operator, and Laborer.
