The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched a Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan (TNK) webpage to counter the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that restricted the conduct of job and business fairs around the country.
The TNK webpage, which can be accessed through http://www.ble.dole.gov.ph/index.php/TNK, gives jobseekers access to online employment facilitation and entrepreneurial options specially geared toward displaced workers, returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), K-12 graduates, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens.
More than 9,000 vacant positions in the private sector and almost 800 job openings in the government sector are posted in the TNK webpage, offering a vast variety of employment opportunities from technical support to medical health care personnel and administrative staff.
Aside from employment opportunities, the TNK webpage links jobseekers to online lectures and seminars offered by DOLE, DTI and other participating agencies. Online skills training opportunities from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will be available to those who want to upgrade their competencies while seeking employment.
Meanwhile, for those who want to tap into their entrepreneurial talents, the webpage includes a list of entrepreneurship opportunities and useful information on how to become a successful business owner.
First-time jobseekers and those in need of pre-employment requirements, can use the TNK webpage One-Stop-Shop Service to be directed to the correct agencies that can address their concerns.
